(1) From pattern of children’s birth it looks like John and Sussanah came to Scotland in 1860
(2) In the 1861 census for Bothwell, John Callison, aged 43, born Ireland, is listed with his wife, Sussana, aged 28, born Ireland, and son Luke, aged 8, Mary, aged 6, Margaret, aged 4, Sussana, aged 3 and John, aged 1 all born Ireland, census district 625/2, book 17, page 21 and John just over the page in 22. The fact that all were born in Ireland suggests that the family had only recently arrived in the area.
(3) John Callison, Labourer at Iron Works, died aged 54, 27th September 1871, at New Carnbroe, Parish of Bothwell of Chronic Bronchitis. His wife was listed as Sussanah Qua and his parents as John Callison, Farmer, deceased and Eliza Callison, ms Galbraith, deceased. Luke Callison son made his mark as informant witnessed by Willaim Richard, dated 28th Nov 1871, Holytown.

Agnes was illegitimate daughter of Sussanah Callison, Agnes was born between death of Sussanah's first husband and John Callison.
(4) May not be true as although Sussanah and John may not have been married they were together before 1861. Agnes was oldest child of possibly eleven children.
(5) Agnes was born 6th December 1874, New Carnbroe, Agnes was listed as Dairymaid when married.
(6) Old Monkland Cemetary, Coatbridge: Erected by John Kelly in Memory of his beloved wife Agnes Callison, died 28th Oct 1927 aged 54 years, their son Thomas, died 20th Feb 1939 aged 47 years.

(2) In the 1901 Census Hans Callison is listed as living at 45 Nimmos <Square>, aged 38, Pit Collieryman, born Bothwell, with his wife Mary T., aged 37, born Ireland, and children Agnes, aged 15, Pit Head Worker, born Old Monklands, John, aged 12, born Old Monklands, William, aged 9, born Old Monklands, Mary, aged 3, born Old Monklands and Hans, aged 1, born Old Monklands.

From the places of birth it looks as if John and Sussanah came to Scotland from Ireland around, 1860.
